Accessibility Tips

Resource House web applications are written using standards compliant XHTML 1.0 Transitional, CSS2, and JavaScript 1.7. Writing standards compliant applications delivers the greatest benefits to the greatest number of web users while ensuring the long-term viability of the applications. Additionally, standards compliant applications are accessible to more people and more types of Internet devices.

It is the nature of standards compliant applications to vary in appearance across platforms, browsers and devices. This application will be tested for functionality in the following browsers on PC/Windows XP:

  • Internet Explorer 6.0
  • Mozilla Firefox 1.0
  • Netscape 8.0
  • Opera 8.5

It should be noted that all browsers will occasionally fail to render content in a manner consistent with current web standards. These deviations, or bugs, are typically corrected in subsequent browser releases. Therefore, it is the policy of North Light that Resource House applications will use standards compliant code rather than browser-specific code customizations.
